Work at Twitter? - Say Ta Ta...

If you work at Twitter, you’d better start clearing out your desk now... Why so? “Cos Elon Musk has been telling prospective investors in his deal to buy the company that he planned to get rid of nearly 75 percent of Twitter’s 7,500 workers, whittling the company down to a skeleton staff of just over 2,000. For weeks leading into the acquisition announcement, Musk pitched a who’s who crowd of elite investors in Silicon Valley and Wall Street on a deal that was billed as a chance not only to transform underperforming Twitter, but to work with the celebrated Musk. (Big fucking deal!!!) One of Musk’s biggest partners in the deal, is Oracle co-founder Larry “Fascist Ninja” Ellison who is putting in a billion dollars. As Larry is one of the evilest people on the planet, you can expect him to recommend firing 99% of the staff.

Liz Truss sunk by an iceberg...

Lettuce, that is! Following on from my earlier post about the rapid demise of Liz Truss as Prime Minister of the UK. Apparently, the Star newspaper has been seeing who would last longer, Liz, or a lettuce. The lettuce won by days. Why shouldn’t we do the same here with Der Trumpf and a mango?

Ace AdScamer, Lisa Jay... She of the infallible “Kate-Dar” has just sent me a juicy bit about Sir Martin Sorrel. Apparently, the Poisoned Dwarf has just dumped his “nearly-to-be,” third wife. This would be 62-year-old Caroline Michel who began dating the 77 year old geezer in 2020. Sir Martin, whose £70.4 million annual pay package sparked a shareholders' revolt at WPP in 2016, was previously married to Sandra Finestone. The £30 million divorce settlement — which included a Georgian townhouse, two underground car parking spaces at Harrods and £23.5 million in cash — was the biggest in British legal history at the time. Never forget that one of the reasons he got the push from WPP was ‘cos he faced allegations, which he denies, that he paid for a prostitute using a company credit card. He said his rumored £100 million divorce from his second wife, Cristiana Falcone, an Italian almost 30 years his junior, was not related to the allegations. Yeah... Right...

Further proof that virtually all politicians are self-serving greedy wankers demonstrated by the news just in that over in jolly old England, Liz Truss has resigned as Prime Minister after just 45 days in office. The announcement, made by Truss outside 10 Downing Street, follows the near-complete evaporation of her political authority which has seen her crash the markets, lose two key ministers and shed the confidence of almost all her own MPs. At least she can claim one record... She will be the shortest-serving prime minister in UK history.

Now she can surf full time!

Jesus Who?

Sticking with Der Trumpf, cos there’s fuck all of interest happening in the ad biz these days... Der Obergropenfuhrer recently shared a post on his Wank Fest Truth Social account declaring him as "second" only to Jesus. The post "Jesus is the Greatest. Trump is the second greatest." It accompanied an image of a painting of Jesus. Der Trumpf "ReTruthed," or reposted, the Jesus comparison to his rancid followers. The Orange One has made these grand proclamations himself. In August 2019, Trump told reporters in reference to trade with China: "I am the chosen one." He also shared tweets describing him as the "King of Israel" and "the second coming of God." What a wanker.

So, today, Der Trumpf will have to sit for a deposition, whilst under oath, as part of the lawsuit brought by former magazine columnist, Jean Carrol. In response to her claim that he raped her in the 1990s, the Obergropenfuhrer said “she’s not my type” and that “it never happened.” This, of course, implies that being Trump’s “type” governs whether he would condescend to rape that person. Carroll sued Trump for defamation, and he has reached the point where he is out of good options, at least good legal options. If Trump insulting Carroll and claiming not to have raped her 20 or so years before he became president is judged to be within the scope of a president’s official duties, then what type of statement would fall outside of those duties? The other thing is... Why on earth should we, the taxpayers, be footing the fucking bill for his lousy defense?

It’s funny and pathetic to read the news that Peter Thiel, uber billionaire and mega donor to right wing looney MAGA groups, is reportedly pursuing Maltese citizenship. This will cost him more than half a million dollars (He already has a New Zealand one that cost him three quarters of a million dollars.) Since backing Der Trumpf’s 2016 campaign, the fucktard technology investor has become one of the largest individual donors in the midterm elections, spending more than $30 million on more than a dozen right-wing fascist candidates who have decried globalization and pledged to put America first. Yeah, right... Until it comes to safeguarding their filthy billions. Then it’s MMGA... That’s “MAKE MALTA GREAT AGAIN.” What a wanker!

Yet another Trump scam...

The New York Times tells us that Trump hotels charged the Secret Services exorbitant rates for accommodation whilst they were guarding his despicable family. It amounts to more than $1.4 million so far, but they haven’t yet finished totting up the total grift. In 2019, Eric Trump said the Trump Organization charged the government only “like $50” for hotel rooms during presidential visits. Instead, records obtained by the committee showed, the Trump International Hotel in Washington repeatedly charged the Secret Service rates more than $600 per night. In one case, the hotel charged the Secret Service $1,160 a night for a room used while protecting Eric Trump in 2017. That was more than four times higher than the government’s usual spending limit for Washington hotels. The same year, the records showed, Der Trumpf’s hotel in Washington charged the service $1,185 for a room used while guarding Donald Trump Jr. Is there no end to the outrageous villainy of this totally corrupt and outrageous family?

Is Zuck doing a Yahoo?

Over at “Insider” there’s an interesting piece comparing ZuckerNozzle’s continuing Meta melt down to Marissa Mayer the ex-CEO of Yahoo. Remember her? Ten years ago her bets were as bold as they were barmy: Make a Yahoo app for everything! Hire Katie Couric for $5 million a year! Create scripted shows like Netflix! Buy the blogging platform Tumblr for $1.1 billion! None of those big bets paid off. Now, years after Yahoo's failed turnaround, ZuckerNozzle is repeating Mayer's mistakes. The era of Yahoo operating as a standalone company came to an end in 2016 when Verizon paid $5 billion to acquire Yahoo and merged it with AOL. Mayer stepped down as CEO. Mind you... She walked with a $23 million golden parachute. This in addition to the $365 million she made over her five-year tenure. Talk about gravy!
