Another Der Trumpf lawsuit fails. Yeh, as if!!!

News on Thursday that a federal judge has thrown out the Obergropenfuhrer’s sprawling lawsuit alleging that Hillary Clinton -- and dozens of others, including ad tech company Neustar -- conspired to undermine his 2016 presidential campaign by falsely accusing him of colluding with Russia. Yeh, as if!!! In his ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks said the core problem with Trump's lawsuit is that his complaint is political, not legal. Yeh, as if!!! “Plaintiff is not attempting to seek redress for any legal harm; instead, he is seeking to flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him, and this court is not the appropriate forum,”

Queen Elizabeth left us yesterday at the age of 96, and a reign of over 70 years. Not bad! Now Charles is King. I think he will do a good job of it. I actually met him many years ago at Chepstow Game Fair in Britain. My friend Mike and I won the “Flurry” shooting competition and the prize was presented by Prince Charles. He stood and chatted with us for ten minutes. Pleasantly friendly and very intelligent. A nice person.

He’s younger than Der Trumpf. And a million times more intelligent.

Super Bowl Bollocks.

You will be thrilled shitless to learn that the next Super Bowl in February 2023 will see 30-second commercial time topping $7 million for many national TV ads, according to media industry executives -- with 95% of the inventory in the big game already sold, according to Fox Television Network. As usual, most of the spots will be crap and will have been flogged to death for weeks before the game. Might as well piss away the big bucks on NFT’s for all the good it will do.

There’s a good reason ZuckerNozzle, the head honcho of the grand old surveillance capitalism firm formerly known as Facebook doesn’t want you to see his newly created Metaverse image. It’s absolute shit and a sad reflection of the quality levels you can expect if you are dumb enough to jump on the Meta bandwagon. And to think that so far Zuck has ploughed $10 billion fucking dollars into his vision of the future and is hoping to impress and inspire others to follow him. Fat chance!!!

With the news that E-cigarette maker Juul will pay $438.5 million following a two-year investigation into the company's marketing and sales practices. Makes you wonder how many actual billions they are making. "The investigation found that Juul deliberately marketed its products to young people” Reminds me of my Mad Man days and the many fag and booze campaigns I worked on. In fact, the very first account I worked on when I arrived in New York on the Queen Mary, was Pall Mall cigarettes. All the ads had to include the truly amazing tag line... “You can light either end.”

Another Meta Muck Up...

Apart from the billions ZuckerNozzle is blowing on the Mataverse, news just in that they have been hit with a $400 million fine from Irelands data watchdog. (Data Protection Commission.) Over their abuse of children’s data on Instagram. Obviously, Meta disagrees with this decision and will appeal. Still, it’s chump change compared to the dumpster loads of dosh they are blowing on the Metaverse boondoggle.

Tomorrow is Apple-Freak” day...

Yes, on Wednesday September 7^th, Apple will launch its iPhone 14. As far as I can see, there’s not much difference from the iPhone 13. Not that it will stop millions of AppleNozzles from lining up to blow big bucks on the latest and greatest in shiny Apple toys. The top end models have titanium frames so can withstand nuclear explosions. They will also have always-on displays, so you will NEVER be without your Apple magic. Isn’t technology great?

So, today is Labor Day, one of the few official American holidays. Unlike the fake ones such as Halloween, Valentine’s Day and Take Your Dog to Work Day that people like to blow big bucks on. Reminds me of when I first came to America in the early sixties. Went into a bank in New York and was surprised to find that everyone was dressed as wizards, witches and giant peanuts. I asked one of the witches what was going on. It’s Halloween she said. It’s a holiday. Oh, I said. Well if it’s a holiday, why is everyone at work. That didn’t go down well.

Isn’t a Trump Library an oxymoron?

You have to laugh at the news that at the tail end of an Aug. 22 statement, Der Trumpf  suggested that the hundreds of documents including top secret records seized from the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid were bound for inclusion in a future “Donald J. Trump Presidential Library and Museum.” Reminds me of the jokes about how Reagan’s presidential Library would consist of comic books. In the case of Der Obergropenfuhrer’s future library, it will no doubt have a section devoted to the works of Hitler. Plus, it will also need a very large shitter so that he can flush away all the stuff he doesn’t want.

The library will also come with an orange jump suit.
