Sometimes the ad biz does scrape the bottom of the barrel. AdWeek tells us that “Brand tributes to Queen Elizabeth the ll ring hollow with brits.” This according to a research study just released. Apparently, companies such as Dominos, Play Mobil, Stella Artois, Thomas Cook and even the British Kebab Awards (What the fuck is a British Kebab?) quickly released ads and social media tributes to her reign. According to YouGov, over half of Britons said that those messages were driven by PR rather than to sincerely pay respect, with less than a third feeling the messages came from the heart. No shit!!!
