Yes, he asked my permission, that I gladly gave, in return, asking for a Porsche. Which he promptly bought for me. It is six inches long and runs on three triple A batteries. Anyway, get the bloody book which kicks the shit out of the tracking-based online advertising industry which he finds far more corrupt and dangerous than ever. Describing it as One of History’s Greatest Frauds and a Threat to Democracy, It’s a hell of a read. Buy it.

I was reading an interesting piece “Calling your content ‘thought leadership’ doesn’t make it so” over at Marketing Insider, by Michael Baer, when I looked at the authors title...  Partner, fractional CMO, TechCXO. Thanks to the Google evil machine, i looked it up. Apparently TechCXO provides growing companies with experienced executives on demand - fractional and interim CFOs, COOs, CEOs, CTO, CMOs, CSOs, CHROs. Well, as most senior management wankers are wankers. Why would you want a fractional or interim wanker?

You will be thrilled shitless to learn that Publicis Sapient is going all in on the Metaverse, and in the words of a company spokes hack “Is feeling the need for "speed" when it comes to many other new and rapidly evolving elements of Web3, including the blockchain, cryptocurrencies, NFTs (non-fungible tokens), DID (decentralized identifiers) and DAO (decentralized autonomous organizations).” Not a single word about ads, just a jumble of buzz words, which in a few months will be replaced another jumble of buzz words. Hey... Big news... Stagwell has added Minneapolis-based Colle McVoy to its agency group known as Constellation. Which is exactly what? Well... The Constellation Group was formed in early 2020 after Stagwell Founder Mark Penn had taken over as CEO of MDC Partners and was reorganizing the company. Oh yeah... Remember when Miles Nadal ran MDC and used it as a personal fund to enable the purchase of yachts and race cars. Ah, the good old days. Does anything change???

So, Rihanna is going to headline the halftime show during the upcoming Super Bowl Fuck Fest in February. Apple Music will be the presenting sponsor, having coughed up $50 million for the privilege. Millionaire Google CEO Sundar Pichai, wants employees to stop equating “fun” with “money.” In a recent all-hands meeting employees asked him why the company was “nickel-and-diming” them by restricting travel and cutting entertainment budgets and perks, especially at a time when the company had “record profits and huge cash reserves.” He answered that the company was “committed” to taking care of employees. Especially the guys in the corner offices who in 2021 each earned a total compensation of between at least $14 million and more than $28 million. Yet, Pichai’s total compensation was a paltry $6.3 million last year. Poor guy!
