Finally, a great spot which demonstrates that creativity in the ad biz is not completely dead. I’m talking about the Google commercial that ran during the Oscars. This beautifully emotive spot is for Google’s “Look to Speak” app, a tool that allows Android users to select from a menu of customizable phrases—which the device will then audibly vocalize—using just their eye movements. This is an especially helpful function for people with certain speech and motor impairments. Check it out here on Adweek. Best of all, it was created In-House. Who needs a bunch of bean counters at a BDA?
Kudos to Google!!!
