Well, well, well… As several AdScamers have already pointed out in comments... News today that Draft/FCB is planning to eliminate the “Draft” part of its name and revert to being Foote, Cone & Belding, or simply FCB, is certainly good news for those of us who remember what was once a great agency until it became part of Interpublic and was later merged with Draft. Michael “I know Insurance” Roth has made many bad decisions over the years, but this was truly fucking awful. New CEO, Carter Murray certainly seems to be on the right track to steer the Exxon Valdez of BDA’s away from the approaching rocks. One of the smartest things he has done is the hiring of Lee Garfinkel to run New York. One of the dumbest is the retention of “Idgy” Harries as Global Creative Fucktard. AdScam’s coruscate piece of advice… Clean out the management of Chicago, take Todd and the “Adventure Team” out behind the woodshed and shoot the fuckers. Then start over. Forget this “Agency of the Future” bullshit. Get back to being the “Agency of the Past.” FCB in the days when it was truly great.
