There’s an interesting article in AdAge… The Creative Exodus in Adland.. It makes several worthwhile points about how the business is completely fucked up now, compared to the “glory” days, when people were treated with respect, and the work was sometimes (not always) great. As usual, no one mentions the main reason… Yes, that gong I never cease to beat… That all the BDA’s belong to BDHC’s (Big Dumb Holding Companies) run by bean counters, who’s only interest is making the numbers. People are simply overhead, the more you can cut, or pay less, the better the bottom line. Sorry to keep going on about it… But why the fuck am I the only one who does?
