Things have been very quiet at Draft lately, probably because Howard is keeping busy jetting off to Cannes to join Jonathon for three martini lunches between screening sessions and enjoying the pleasures of the local souterrain. NoBu, is more of a winter “new-biz” experience. However, the summer hasn’t floated by without some more of that “Breakthrough – Agency of the Future” thinking that has made Draft/FCB the envy of the ad biz… They have now come up with something called… "6.5 Seconds That Matter". We are assured it is in alignment with the Wheel, 1-2-1, and ROI". Boy, that’s a fucking relief! This has the smell of Jonathon “Rumble” Harris to it. But who knows, it’s fucking dumb enough to have been a three-way effort. Loyal AdScam spies sent me the internal memo… It long and boring, here’s an edited version. 6.5 Seconds That Matter
In April, we launched 6.5 Seconds That Matter (6.5STM) - which will
become our litmus test for great work, enabling us to engage the
consumer and tell them something that matters specifically to them in
the short time they are willing to give us.
Delivering the 6.5 Seconds That Matter drives our structure and our
culture. We all have a common focus, working in unison around a core
strategy to bring to life the 6.5 Seconds that Matter to the consumer.
This requires people who are insightful and enterprising. People who
share the ultimate objective of delivering engaging and creative work
that gives our Clients a Return on Ideas, all powered by creating
communications that truly matter to the consumer.
This is where you come in...
To make this launch real in the NY office, the Strategy Council has
developed early engagement work sessions to empower the office to work
this way. This is new to all of us, and while we are working
diligently to make these sessions as valuable to you as possible, we
are also relying on you to help us fine-tune as we adopt 6.5STM.
Engagement Work sessions will include:
· What 6.5 means for us as an agency and for you everyday
· Thinking that led to 6.5STM
· Alignment with the Wheel, I-2-I, and ROI (Return on Ideas)

And it goes on and fucking on… Man… That’s enough to make your fucking brain melt. And can anyone out there tell me what the “Strategy Council” is, and who the fuck is on it? Why does Draft keep doing this Cock-a-Mamie shit… Why don’t they just do some fucking ads that aren’t as pathetic as their usual output?
