I'm a bit mystified by the BootB.Com thing. Anyone at New York BDA's has recently been exposed to hordes of layabouts handing out free tee shirts on their front doorsteps promoting this web site. At first glance it seems to be CGC on fucking acid. Anyone, anywhere, can submit ideas to answer briefs posted on the site. Which raises the question why would they be talking to employees of BDA's, when the principle of the thing is to put them out of business? The whole thing is the brainchild of some wanker going by the grandiose name of Pier Ludovico Brancale (didn't he used to bang chicks in black and white sixties Fellini movies?) He has his own web site (hosted in Russia) with a picture of himself dressed as Napoleon! It's also full of his words of wisdom "Be positive - or die" is a wonderful example! Seems like in a previous life he was sales and Marketing Director for a chain of restaurants in Moscow. The site is all reversed out type, so is very hard to read... Maybe that should be their first brief. But, I have to say one thing in fairness (Yes, me being fair!) they already have seven briefs up there on their first day of operation, and a couple are reputable brands. So, like I say, I won't kick the shit out of them yet, but might do later. I will however, take the piss out of Mr. Brancale. If anyone has any more insight, share it with us.
