So YouTube is about to start hitting people over the head with ads. According to reports, the YouTube Overlay Ads will show up on the bottom 20% of the video and give the viewer a choice whether to click and watch the ad. OK, I know there's a lot of dumb people out there, but why would anyone choose to watch an ad instead of a video of a fucking dog wearing goggles and a Superman cape riding on a skateboard? YouTube said it began testing its "InVideo" ads weeks ago and that they are designed to interfere as little as possible with viewing. If a user clicks on the advertisement, the video they were watching pauses while the ad plays. "If you choose not to click on the overlay, it will simply disappear," the company said. Yeah... But how long is it on the screen blocking the dogs paws, so you can't see that he is duct taped to the fucking skateboard? And here's the best bit... YouTube wants viewers comments on this crappy idea, but they won't post them in the comments section of the site... Probably 'cos they know they're going to get shit from the Skateboarding Dog Society of America... Wankers!
Fucking cool... Arf... Arf!
