Tangerine Toad has a good comment on my last Julie post about Holly Sanders reporting in yesterday's New York Post. I agree with him, as all Holly's pieces have been very balanced. Unlike some of the other wankers, particularly "Bozo Bloom" over at AdAge, who must be getting fucking cases of "Effen" delivered daily, she gets the facts right, and doesn't just go on about the "sex" thing, but also points out the more serious matters of gifts, entertainment, and the egregious matter of the dynamic duo's efforts at negotiating a new job with Howard. As Toad says, when you read most of the ad reporting in the mainstream press, it's obvious they just regurgitate press releases. Even the New York Times. which apparently has a horde of junior reporters writing the ad column, the news is not only late, it's fucking boring.
