The new Kaiser Permanente TV campaign from Campbell-Ewald sounds like barrel of laughs! Stressing preventative care, the campaign goes by the inspiring name of "Thrive.” By preventive care, I guess that means they want you in before anything goes wrong, so they can liposuction all your money, before you get really sick and they have to cancel your insurance. The campaign includes a 30-second Saturday Night Fever parody with an elderly man in the John Travolta role showing off disco moves, shooting hoops and flirting with women. The aptly themed background music is a remake of the Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive." Oh Puleeez!!! That sounds so fucking bad! Why do they always show old fuckers climbing mountains, playing tennis and riding mountain bikes, when you know that people of my generation like to hang out in bars and casinos chatting up the cocktail waitresses. How about some fucking truth in advertising?
What is Kaiser Permanente? sounds like a Nazi front organization to me!
