Just read a piece in "Optimize" magazine about how a great many Global IT executives are turning to blogs to establish a more intimate connection between their companies and their customers. Does this mean the Feds are going to let Bernie, Ken, Joe et al, spend time at their computers after they've finished their mail bag or license plate chores for the day? After all, even with the bad press "Corner Office Management" has recently received, it seems to have had very little effect on their levels of remuneration, irrespective of their levels of performance. However, having said that, it was comforting to read today that Ivan Seidenberg, CEO of Verizon only got a measly $17.3 million package last year, compared to the $19.1 million he received the year before. Shit Ivan, it's really getting tough to make a living wage these days. And if you don't pull off that MCI deal, who knows, next year you could be down to a lousy $16 million! Looking forward to reading about it on your blog, buddy!
