It would seem that the shareholders at the WPP Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, did not go for the throat of the board as expected. Instead they listened to such soporific shit as this... After paying tribute to former CEO Sorrell, acting COO, Mark Read insisted, “This business can succeed without him. We need to find a new beating heart for the group and we’ve started to work on that.” Chief transformation officer Lindsay Pattison, tweeted in response: “We have over 130,000 amazing people around the world. All of whom create brilliant work with beating hearts.” Perhaps it's all a reference to the Poisoned Dwarf's beating heart on his trips to Shepherds Market. It was all wrapped up with this... WPP strategy now rests on five pillars, Read said: client-centric, with a simpler structure (these two replace horizontality); creativity at the heart; data and technology; and an inclusive culture. Oh, yes indeed. I have no fucking idea what all that shit means!
I heart you!
