News this week that less than a year into her tenure as IBM’s chief marketing officer, Michelle Peluso made an announcement that she knew would excite some of her 5,500 new employees, but also, inevitably, inspire resignation notices from others.. . “It’s time for Act II: WINNING!” read Peluso’s blog post on the company intranet. That's the kind of shit we expect from Der Trumpf, not a CMO, although when you realize that Peluso, was the CEO of fashion startup Gilt before getting into computers and shit, I'm not really surprised. She explained in a video... The “only one recipe I know for success.” Its ingredients included great people, the right tools, a mission, analysis of results, and one more thing: “really creative and inspiring locations.” Oh, yawn, fucking yawn! Shouldn't be surprised if everyone will now be expected to come to work wearing a navy blue suit, white shirt and a solid color tie. It was the original IBM way!
