There’s a brilliant column from Dan Lyons (The original “Fake Steve Jobs”) over at readwrite.com about the thousands of startups that are beginning to run out of money, ‘cos the VC guys are finally starting to realize that 99% of them are a giant wank that will NEVER, fucking never, make any money. You may remember that last year I did a post about two students, Hillary Young and Deanna McDonald at the Miami Ad School who had come up with an iPhone app called CLOO. A totally fucking insane idea based on renting out your bathroom to perfect strangers to use to take a shit, jerk off, shoot up, or whatever else they fancy behind the closed door. As you would expect, the world’s dumbest ad trade, Creativity, thought it was a shit hot idea! Just out of interest, I checked on the current state of CLOO… As far as I can make out, surprisingly, it no longer exists. Obviously, they are no longer flush with success!
