The layoffs have commenced. They will continue tomorrow. My God, this business is becoming more fucked by the day... The first interview I had when I got off the Queen Mary, before you were all born, was with David Ogilvy. The "Grand British Man of American Advertising" who gave a snot nosed 23 year old half an hour of his time and was utterly charming. I have worked on and off as a freelancer for Ogilvy since the eighties. The best creative director I ever worked for was at Ogilvy... Yeah, Bill Hamilton... And Yeah, we used to get fucked up together... But we did good shit. What a fucking disgrace it has become. David must be spinning under the Toufou turf. Fuck... Yes... Fuck!!!
