Besides the mind bending audiences claimed… Today, Facebook hit the one billion douchenozzle mark – As usual, no breakdown of the numbers, all the dogs, dead relatives and chipmunks are still counted. Exaggerated sales numbers… Dell’s $30 million in sales on a single promotion last year, which upon closer inspection, never actually happened. Helping to create and manage revolutions, Like Iran’s “Green” revolution of three years ago which was dubbed the “Twitter Revolution.” Then someone analyzed the Tweets and found that most were written in English (Iranians speak Farsi) and the majority of tweets were coming from outside Iran. Anyway, I know I’m flogging a dead fucking horse here, but you might want to notice this bit on MediaPost. Apparently, the New York Police Department is beefing up its “Gang Unit” because social media is helping fuel violence between low-level street gangs, including shoot outs and planned murders between gangs boasting such salubrious names as “Rockstars” and “The Very Crispy Gangsters!” Maybe there’s something very fucking clever about this… Social media is all about building communities. Then when the community gets too big, you kill off the fucktards who aren’t buying enough virtual tattoos, or tees with gang symbols on them. Shit, now I’m beginning to understand what social media is all about!
