Lower Depths has kindly pointed me in the direction of a story on an Australian news site describing how the sad state of the world’s economy is even fucking up Japan’s Yakuza. Seems like they invested a lot of their protection, prostitution and gambling racket money in the fucking stock market… And we all know how that shit turned out. As Jake Adelstein, a former Yomiuri Shimbun daily crime reporter and yakuza expert put it… "It's unheard of, the sort of numbers of yakuza who are being laid off." Ha, maybe they could get on the Poisoned Dwarfs payroll to serve as “enforcement officers” to see that WPP staffers laid off at short notice are escorted off the premises with the minimum fuss. Something tells me that’s the one fucking job in advertising with any kind of growth prospects.
