What's in a name... Even if it's Mugabe... Ask the Poisoned Dwarf!

I don't usually post the same shit on different blogs, but because I really think this is an important subject, I am posting here what I posted on my UK, BrandRepublic blog yesterday. Particularly as it relates to my favorite "Bette Noir" the "Poisoned Dwarf"... It would seem that the news in yesterday's BrandRepublic that the woman heading up WPP's agency in Zimbabwe, the one that's busting its arse to get the great and noble father of the revolution... AKA, Ace Pig, Robert Mugabe, re-elected for his hundredth term, is getting readers in a sweat, because it turns out she may be his cousin. Wouldn't you think the fact that her name is Sharon Mugabe might have been a bit of a clue. Oh yes, the Poisoned Dwarfs minions at WPP Central are professing they haven't known anything about it for the last two years, whilst gladly accepting the virtually worthless Zimbabwe crapolas, or whatever they are called, to create ads advocating the expulsion (if not murder) of any anti Mugabe sympathizers from the country. But only a couple of weeks ago, over here in the land of the free, Hillary had to dump Mark Penn, who was her chief strategist (While still pulling down the big bucks as CEO of Bursten-Marsteller) for lobbying on behalf of the Columbian government, while Hillary was on the campaign trail kicking the shit out of them... So, the question is... Who are the bigger scumbags... Politicians, or the ad people that work for them. Personally, I think they are the same bunch of wankers. I think you get my drift here, and where I think the business is going!

Is that the flag of Zimbabwe? Well, it all depends on what you pay me!

Great post, George. I listened to the NPR item today on what Mugabe and his henchmen are doing in Zimbabwe to the opposition party and it was disgusting.

On another front, I hope you saw the Penney's "fake" ad story today that has embroiled your other bete noire, Kevin "Love Handles" Roberts of Saatchi. Very funny piece and quite embarassing for Kevin. Here is a link to the Gawker post:

after watching the spot, i'm confused...

today's the day to get away with what? dressing in crappy clothing quickly? going down to the basement to "watch TV"?

lame set-up, crap pay-off being that it's an Olympic year...

but not to take away from the horror of Mugabe and his regime, maybe the people that dropped that turd could do some work for Mugabe? then it's a win-win.

they don't do work for anyone here, while sinking Mugabe with oddball messaging....

we did get war and massive death counts with the last 2 elections however, albeit in someone else's country...
