Draft/FCB loves my arse!
I was trying to keep this as a secret, but I have been in protracted discussions with Hughie, Dewey & Louie to take on a big job within the "Evil Empire!" You can read all the details here. The rumors that my "Co-Change-Agent" will be Julie Roehm are unfounded. It is however true that "The Poisoned Dwarf" is pissed that he lost out in the bidding war for my services.
Fuck the fruit... Send money!

I wake up hungover. Go immediately for three Tylenols and coffee and then read this. It had to be a full five minutes before I realized this was April Fool's Day.
After DaVinci, all things are possible, I say to myself.
Very friggin funny, Parker.

Everything is coming up roses for DraftFCB. I just read that Laurence's court case was dismissed:
nytimes.com/lb/bugger/stuartelliot
Seems the plaintiff said he was lubricated, when he really meant to say "intoxicated". The DA agreed it was entrapment. But LB has the last laff as he has sold the rights to the Oxygen Network. Stanley Tucci is to play Laurence, and Toby McGuire the novitiate.

I was drinking my first cuppa joe when I read this and almost spat a mouthful over my laptop. I was just about to throw the laptop out of an unopened window until I saw the calendar on my desk.
You got me.

George, I just had another look, after regaining my composure, at the site you have the link for, the A Source Of Inspiration site, and this story just gets better.
The fact that the site that ran the story is run by a daftfcb employee is hilarious. Obviously they don't use calendars there at daftfcb...Feb 31st?
That is a great trait for an agency that needs to stick to deadlines - "yes Mr Client, the job will be delivered on Feb 31st without fail." And he talks about the news being confirmed by "outside sources", right, yeah he really did his research. Also a great trait for a modern day agency. Especially one with so many processes, wheels and whatever other science they lay claim to so as to ensure effective results.
You duped one of the many that have been duped. Shows how sheeplike they follow anything they are told. They certainly hire the smart kids there at daftfcb.
You have made my day and most likely the days of many others.

Now I'm starting to get confused...this guy works at DraftFCB Portugal, and he writes his blog without their knowledge or intervention? Either THAT is the real joke, or they really have their heads in the sand. And that's a stylish pic of you, George, by the by.

Best. April. Fool’s. Post.

Oh George, for a second I thought you'd gone senile, I mean, to the dark side! Nay, be gone foul April demon!

Come on folks, it was just an April fool's.
The February 31st was not meant to be taken serious, of course. And what's wrong working in a BDA office ? A guy has to have some sense of humor.
You know, there's some real (ans sometimes smart) people working behind the curtains, it's not just some dumbasses who fall for an easy one like this.
But it would be funny as hell seeing George drinkin the Kool aid :)

Armando...
Great fucking post... And yeah... Pay me a few million and I'll drink the Kool Aid... But not on LB's gym.
Cheers?george
