Un-fucking-believable!!!
My good friend Cathy Taylor over at Adverganza, has a post today pointing out that Liberty Mutual is doing something almost beyond belief. I am posting Cathy's post in full so you get the entire awfullness of what these fucking douchenozzles are up to...Wake up people! Amazed that this post on AdFreak hasn't garnered more than one irate comment. Here's the news: Liberty Mutual has actually bought the keyword "Paul Tilley" to link to a site it's calling responsiblityproject.org, allegedly an exploration of "what it means to do the right thing." Those who click on the ad will be confronted by a post once again dredging up the speculation about what role bloggers may have played in his death. As the writer of this post has no more insight than any of the rest of us outsiders do about why Tilley committed suicide, isn't it more than a little irresponsible to continue the speculation and try to enhance traffic about it by buying a keyword? Seems pretty obvious to me. Feel free to leave your comment below the post on the Liberty Mutual site, and don't make your comment anonymous. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: A source points out that Liberty Mutual also bought the keywords of the two blogs most involved in the controversy: "Adscam" and "Agencyspy." I shall be tearing these wankers a new arsehole as soon as my raging hangover subsides.
Even a fucking duck wouldn't stoop that low!

Yeah, have a little edge on myself today.

It will be a cold day in hell before I EVER buy any kind of insurance or anything else they might be peddling at Liberty Mutual. Also, this particular story is worthy of re-telling so happily, it may also turn off other potential consumers...which obviously was not their intent. What a bunch of goddam fools to come up with such an ill-conceived concept. It's also so incredibly out of touch and totally out of date with any kind of on-line "messaging." Irresponsible and irreverant, attention-getting concepts/ads may have worked years ago off-line but they sure as hell only produce negative results on-line. What a bunch of freakin' assholes!

I'd love to see the NYTimes cover this. How does one make that happen? Why don't they buy "douchenozzles, "arse" and "fuck off" while they can, too...

The sad thing is that it is probably some hack online agency that has done this on behalf of them...
The sorry, sad fuckers!

George,
This was actually the last account whose pitch I was somewhat involved in. Nice to know even that if I did everything on their account, I couldn't do worse than this.

Paul Tilley's father (an architect) died in a house fire a year or so ago down in Austin, a reasonable explanation for his actions. Lots of people shoot off their mouths before the old cranial cavity fires up and they actually know what the fuck's going on. See through your justifiable anger and understand that this venue has jabbed alot of assholes right where their spine used to be...

...and they want to get you back. But as has been pointed out 2 or 3 times, they are too stupid in every way, shape and form. The truth constantly wars with their ridiculous, overblown sense of importance. Some people build model airplanes or collect stamps for a hobby, you break balls (and drink).

Oh George, the idiotic crazies are more rampant than ever before. Unfortunately there is no way to inject any kind of sense into them, so best just to humour them!
