Chiat "aligns" New York office by cutting throats!
The news today that TBWA\Chiat\Day today cut nearly twenty jobs at its New York office is just one more sign of the current state of the business. And with the impending departure of Sprint Nextel, which is by far its biggest revenue earner, you can expect a hell of a lot more heads to roll in a couple of months. As usual, agency spokes-hacks delivered the expected bromides… "As part of its efforts to best align the New York office for the future, TBWA\C\D New York is making some staffing adjustments. These are primarily made up of a reduced number of open positions and employee transfers to other TBWA companies or offices. However, a small number of direct staff reductions are being made." Why the fuck can’t these people talk in plain old English… “We’re about to loose our biggest account, so we have to throw quite a few people out on the street! Obviously, this will not include senior management, just the poor wankers that work in the boiler room!” No doubt, senior management will be discussing this at their next off-site in Tahiti. My prediction… Sprint Nextel goes to Goodby, Silverstein. Chiat’s management goes to Bali to recover from the stress of the off-site in Tahiti. Nothing ever changes in this fucked up business.

What makes you think he's an ex Creative Director?

ah, george... poor, naive, young george... so smitten with the career of his dreams that he can't see the dark side of the silver cloud...
maybe you should do as "nancy" advised in an earlier post, and read a book about an Indian who loved too much. it seems to have helped her out, maybe it'll do the same for you.

George
I'll stick with you. One day in a far away bar some of these young punks will learn about the
merits of old age and treachery.
