No Paino... No Gaino! Another lesson in ad agency stupidity!
Proving that most ad agencies have no sense of humor, an agency is suing a Maine-based blogger for defamation after he began to post regularly about the work the agency was doing for its client, the state of Maine. Apparently Warren Kremer CEO of Paino Advertising, New York, filed suit against Lance Dutson for copyright infringement, defamation and trade libel and injurious falsehood. Blogger Mr. Dutson, a freelance Web designer is critical of the Maine Office of Tourism because they’re dicking around with search terms that bump into the interests of his clients. According to Dutson's blog, he learned of Paino's involvement and started kicking the shit out of the agency, including a reference to it as "some big company in New York with no ties to the state, pissing away tax money." Couldn’t have put it better myself! As you would expect, all the negative publicity is getting more attention than the ads from Paino… A word of advice to Mr. Kremer… First, don’t fuck with bloggers… Not even the Poisoned Dwarf has tried… It just ends up backfiring on you. Second, for Christ’s sake change your name… Paino Advertising!!! You’re going to get that name shoved down your throat forever now.
